Welcome! Thank you for visiting. If you are interested in competing with us, we’d love to connect with you. Dancers are invited to audition for our Competitive Team and compete solos, duets or trios with us throughout the dance season. 

Class Information

In keeping with our Spring philosophies, students participating in competitions will be provided a weekly team class with Competition Team Director Abby King to provide group unity, promote teamwork and ensure clean technique and solid performance quality in our dancers. All team members are required to take our Competitive Team Class. This will be held in a group format from 5:00-6:00pm each Monday.

Being on time for class is important as we will only have this one hour per week together. Please wear dance clothes and shoes that you’d be proud to be on social media in. Wear the type of shoes you’ll perform in and have your hair neatly back. 

Tuition for this class is $40/month per student and includes training for up to 5 pieces for competition. Registration can be found in the Competitive Team drop-down on our Registration site. Tuition will be in your regular monthly account. This class will continue and you will be charged through the end of May, even if competition season concludes in April. We will decide later in the season if we want to attend a Nationals competition. If we do not attend a Nationals, then May will be spent working on Improv with Abby!

Private lessons are available for those who would like to clean routines or want additional individual instruction. Private lessons run $35-$60 per 30 minute lesson. Charges will be added to your Spring account and payment can be made through your Spring account or via Venmo.

Choreography & Choreography Fees

Choreography for Solos, Duos and Trios or Small Groups will be charged separately from the monthly tuition.  

If you would like Amber, Abby or Whitley to choreograph a piece for you, there is an additional choreography fee of $200-$300. This helps cover the cost of finding and editing music, preparing outside of lesson time and other administrative aspects of creating your piece and getting it on stage. This fee will be added to your Spring account and payment can be made through your Spring account or via Venmo.

Choreography fees must be paid prior to your first private choreography lesson. Please contact Amber to discuss choreographer options that would be right for your dancer’s routine. 

Private lesson time for choreography runs the same rates as cleaning dances or working skills, $35-$60 per 30 minute lesson. Charges will be added to your Spring account and payment can be made through your Spring account or via Venmo.

Convention Information

The Spring Competitive Team will be attending  West Coast Dance Explosion Convention November 3rd -5th at the Hyatt Regency Downtown; 1300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403.   

Apparel requirements, arrival times, and other information will be available late October. Convention classes include tap, ballet, industry jazz, character hip-hop, contemporary and jazz taught by an incredible faculty. There is also an option to compete. Being this early in the season, we may only attend as convention goers or compete very lightly. The cost for the convention (classes only) is $300 due by September 16th, 2023.  Payment must be received before the dancer will be registered to attend. If you would like to enter a routine to compete at this convention, please speak to Amber before September 11th for more information and requirements.

Competition Information

We will be at the competitions listed below. Sign up and payment can be made on our Registration site. Routine fees are separate from monthly class tuition so that dancers/families can participate in whatever competitions that work for you! You are welcome to attend other competitions as well, but there will not be a Spring representative in attendance. Fees for additional competitions will be $200 per routine.
