Athan Fischer, Prince Charming

Athan, a 15-year-old Sophomore at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists (SPCPA), feels happy when others are and would love to someday go to Disney World with all of his friends. This guy truly is a prince! Although he thinks he’s friends would say he’s rather loud, you can catch him quietly surfing TikTok, reading Harry Potter or watching the Umbrella Academy while snuggling up with his 2 cats (he adores them!). To one day work on Broadway or with puppets in some way is a big dream of Athan’s, one that was inspired by his favorite role of Rico in Madagascar performed with Stage’s Theatre Company. When he performed Madagascar, one of the kids thought the penguins were bunnies… moments like this and his friends have him laughing most all the time! He has us always smiling. :)

What Athan loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: The dances are so great. I will go from being completely sad in one dance to laughing at how funny the next is a few minutes later. 

Evangeline Harris, Cinderella

Evangeline is a 14-year-old freshman at Nova Classical Academy. We see why she loves to sleep in when she can… she’s super active dancing every day and loves to bake, ice skate, ride her bike, hang out with friends and play with her dog! You’ll catch her watching Gilmore Girls and The Office in her downtime. Evangeline loves performing because the feeling of being on stage to her is amazing and it allows her to express herself in a way that she wouldn’t be able to otherwise. Evangeline loves sloths, is an awesome turner, hangs out on TikTok and Snapchat with friends and is always making them smile! We are so excited for you to see her shine as Cinderella. <3

What Evangeline loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: Being a part of creating Cinderella so far has made me step out of my comfort zone a little bit, as well as getting to know people I’m dancing with better. 

Ella Kozak, The Queen/Fairy Godmother

Ella is a 16-year-old junior who will be starting PSEO at Inver Hills this fall. She is in heaven hanging out backstage with cast-mates and wears her crown with ease. She walked into the studio and this triple-threat brought heart and soul that warmed us all with her sweet smile! Ella loves being on stage and making people laugh. Find her enjoying her favorite after-rehearsal snack of pizza rolls in front of her favorite good ‘ol comfort show, Parks and Rec. She wants to be able to bring people joy in her future endeavors and we can tell you - she already does. Ella, you bring us joy EVERY day!!

What Ella loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: Getting to work with Amber and a lot of my old friends again! I love it. Getting to see the show come together as rehearsals go on is so fun!

Elena Benz, Drizella

Elena is a funny and upbeat 14-year-old freshman who attends Roseville Area High School. She loves performing because she can express yourself in a way (other than speaking) that also brings her joy. And speaking of joy, this young woman gets it from drama! Grey's Anatomy is her favorite and it's because there is never a dull moment. Elena one day hopes to become a surgeon or a nurse herself and we don’t doubt she will! Until she’s got her nose in those medical school books, find her on TikTok or Snapchat. She loves any kind of pasta, steals our hearts with that gorgeous smile and will surely win yours as well!

What Elena loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: I’m excited to portray one of  the stepsisters with Ryann, one of my closest friends!

Margaret Nelson, Stepmother

Margaret, a spontaneous and happy freshman at Central High School, is in heaven when she travels, escaping the cold - she refers to Minnesota as "Antarctica” - who could blame her?! Once completing her dream of graduating high school (pretty sure she’ll be ok on that one!), we may find her eating Churros in Mexico or South Africa. Margaret loves to watch and to play hockey, spend time laughing with her friends on Snapchat, watching Quantico and even going back and re-watching old Hannah Montana episodes. She finds the book Bridge to Terebithia amazing, so sweet and magical in a way. Once she magically danced her way through two shows on a broken toe - this chick has grit! She’s been dancing since she was three and it’s her whole life!!

What Margaret loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: I love watching dance and movie versions of it and the characters are always fun and unique and it’s an exciting show to bring to life. 

Ryann Stewart, Anastasia

Ryann is a Spring Lake Park freshman who is happy when it's summer and she’s spending time with her friends. She feels so proud when she sees them reaching their goals and they would say she's rather adventurous and outgoing. Great traits for someone taking on the role of a stepsister!Ryann is in paradise when she gets to enjoy a hot cinnamon roll… a girl after our own hearts! Someday she would love to travel to many other countries. She loves the magic of Harry Potter, Grey’s Anatomy and stepping away from reality and becoming a character, a whole new person when she performs. You’ll find this sweetie eating Oreos, surfing Pinterest for pictures of outfits and cute dogs and laughing with her friends for hours. Loving life!

What Ryann loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: I love that we have so much freedom. we don’t need to follow any rules, we’re making up our own unique performance!

Shelby Keeley, Gus Gus and Princess Pink

Shelby, a 7th grader at Chippewa Middle School, who’s friends say she’s energetic, silly and talkative, is in heaven when she’s looking at the Cinderella castle. She loves being whisked away to other worlds by story tellers, making Harry Potter and Land of Stories two of her favorite book series. If she’s not surfing Tik Tok or Pintrest, find her happily spending time with her family (her mom is director Amber and brother Sayer is also in the show). Shelby’s favorite role thus far was Mowgli with Out on a Limb Dance Company as she got to do every type of dance she wanted and got to experience acting in many ways. Someday she’d love to be Belle in a production of Beauty and the Beast. She’s been in commercials, fashion shows and a music video and adores performing because she loves making people happy! She makes us happy, that’s for sure!

Hopes and dreams: I want to be able to do all the jobs I want to do but I don’t think that would happen because my life isn’t long enough… I want to work at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, be a party planner, be a teacher, be a dance teacher, or a writer for movies.

Abby Lange, Bluebird and Princess Jade

Abby Lange is a 7th grader who gets excited about tacos, lives with her family in Shoreview, MN and attends Chippewa Middle School. This young lady has brains and talent - not only can she bourrée her way across a stage like a sparkling little snowflake, but her fingers soar across a piano keyboard like a spinning dancer in a Viennese Waltz. Abby is a Ravenclaw, so couldn’t begin to choose a favorite book, but she can pin down that she loves High School Musical The Musical The Series and cows (yes, she loves cows!). She also loves to hang out with friends and dreams of becoming a doctor and of going sky diving one day. Wait until you see what she had in store for the prince…oof! This little lady’s run-in’ things, yep!

What Abby loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: It’s my first performance so it’s very exciting!

Sayer Keeley, The Duke

Sayer is a junior at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists (SPCPA) who feels calm when he writes and would love to write a book someday. I love performing because I love seeing the joy on peoples faces after leaving the theater and knowing that I was a part of the reason. Bottom from A Midsummer Night’s Dream has been Sayer’s favorite role thus far because he’s a boisterous and fun character - and Sayer’s friends just might characterize him as such! He has an obsession with Harry Potter and loves the magical feel of Avatar The Last Air Bender. Athan makes him laugh, chicken nuggets make him smile and Sayer loves his dog, Rocky. In the future, look for this TikTok star to be sorting his collection of playing cards in his dressing room on Broadway and working on the next book series that will grip the hearts of the world! He’s gripped ours!

What Sayer loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: We’re making our own, we aren’t following the basic plot line.

Ella jean Martin, Lucifer and Princess Noir

Ella jean is 16, attending SPCPA as a junior in the Musical Theater Department. She loves everything about performing and is inspired when others are inspired. Her friends might say it’s awkward when she zones out and is in the clouds, but get her a coffee and a good romance (say, The Notebook) and she’s there! Her favorite role was Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, definitely romantic in it’s own special human-eating-plant kind of way. ;) Ella’s talents do not stop at musical theatre… this chicken-nugget-loving girl also likes to draw a lot and does archery. She’s a total Disney princess, if you ask us!

What Ella loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: Character development and learning all the dances. 

Chloe Ubel, Princess Plum

Chloe is a 10th grader at Roseville Area High School who gets so excited when she gets to dance. Her friends say she’s the life of the party and we agree! Chloe makes every day at Spring a joy… she’s smiling right through her mask! She’d love to make the trek from Maplewood, MN to Bora Bora while relaxing on the flight with Twilight or The Vampire Diaries. Chloe loves to dance because it lets her forget everything that’s going on in her outside life and she can express herself in ways she never could if she was just talking to someone. We love this about dance too! And Chloe is great expressing herself in Cinderella! She plays Princess Plum, the ex-girlfriend of The Prince back for one more go at it, like a returning contestant on The Bachelorette. Get it, Chloe, you beautiful charmer!

What Chloe loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: It’s such a fun atmosphere and I love my Purple Rain solo. I’ve never really been in a play like this before. It opened my eyes up to other styles of dance I never thought I’d be apart of.

Jennifer Wielenberg, Princess Platinum

This little firework is an 11th grader at Roseville Area High School. Jenny’s smile shines right through her mask and she makes us all so happy! And she is so happy when she gets to travel the US, sees friends and family and she feels really hopeful when others are inclusive. (She’s in the right place - it’s what Spring is all about!) Jenny loves Harry Potter and The Mortal Instruments, because there’s never a dull moment! Her favorite Netflix show is Grey’s Anatomy because it’s such a funny and intense show. One day Jenny hopes to be able to make a difference in people’s lives… With the light she shines, she already makes a happy difference in ours!

This is my first true show so I’m super excited to be a part of something so amazing!  I love performing because being able to see all the work we put into it is an amazing feeling. 

What Jenny loves about the creation of Cinderella so far: I love the uniqueness about the play and how fun it’s been to create it. 

Veronica Doran, Suzy Mouse

Ronnie is vivacious! We’re tellin’ ya, this mouse has flair. Lucifer doesn’t stand a chance! Behind the scenes she loves Tater-Tot Hotdish and playing on the playground, especially the slides and swings. The slides at her playground are super tall!

Did you know:

When Ronnie grows up she’d wants to be an inventor. She wants to invent a machine that would make people old then young then old again (big and little and big) - wowza! If anyone can do it, we know this little magical one can!!

Vivienne Johnson, Mary Mouse

Vivi is 3 and loves:

Birthday cake and surprises, her cool mom and dad (they are pretty rad), dinosaurs and everything Jurassic World, YouTube Disney parades, turkey bacon, tater tots, pizza rolls, carrot pouches, dolphin songs, Put a Ring on It, Waka Waka and being creative all day long!

Vivi says:

I am sad when others are sad. Especially grasshoppers.

I’d love to hold a baby dinosaur.

When I grow up I want to fix surgeries and babies moms and dads and brothers (a surgeon - ask her and she’ll tell you more than most of us know about anatomy!).

Did you know:

Viv loves to clean, changes her outfit a minimum of 8 times a day and wants to visit the salon when Covid-19 is no longer a threat. We’ve got a serious cutie, here!
